ABOUT
What if your car was a skateboard?! Play with up to 16 players and jump, grind and kickflip your car as you try not to get REKT! Unlock over 50 cars and customize them into the perfect stunt car.
BRIEF
Develop game-ready models of the cars based on cars from the first REKT game and their real life counterparts. Visually evolve the models and style from the first REKT game to a more modern and next-gen look. Consistent UV maps and texture sets are required for adding skins and customisations, as well as separate parts for destruction of the vehicle in-game. Design and workout the environment for the game in tandem with the cars.
TIME
By using the cars of the original REKT as a base production of the models could be sped up significantly. Most sprints of two weeks I could produce up to 2 or 3 cars.
WORK
For this project I was the only full-time 3D artist (I worked together with one intern) working on all parts of the game to not only design and develop the cars, but also the environments, lighting and shaders. Together with two great programmers/game designers and the Creative Lead we worked to get REKT:PARTY to a playable state that was ready for pitching to publishers and other interested parties.
